These are fascinating little bugs. They look right at the photographer and move very slowly.These red weaver ants were making a nest out of these leaves where the queen will lay the eggs. These ants are fierce about protecting the nest, covering the entire tree with their vast numbers until the eggs hatch. These are unfortunately, food for people in Thailand – they make soup out of the eggs.
